For everyone saying the build didn't get nerfed, you are wrong. We lost a 200% more multiplier because the whole league there was a bug that caused the fork to make barrage and tornado shot to hit a mob three times instead of one with each attack. The +2 to +1 tornado shot helm change kind of sucks because you could craft +1 Tornado shot helms on a budget.
The build utilizes Chaos Inoculation which tends to make you 100% immune to all sources of chaos damage which includes poison. Nonetheless, you'll have 1 HP and thus need to cover yourself with Power Shield alone. This is not suggested for early levels and this guide will cover the transition and workarounds to have yourself to CI. Besides this, the develop slows enemies down and utilizes an enormous EHP pool to be as tanky as you can. For greater spending budget builds you can also throw in Temporal Chains enabling for much more slow effects on enemies.
For this build, there's nothing mandatory. You'll need some strength on your stuff and a bit of dexterity. Noone bothered with this weird combination, but I actually had a blast even though single target damage was complete crap. With some jewels and abyssal gear and regen in the ascendancy it became much better, yet still sucked for a single target in general. So I've been waiting for some single target help and looks like it finally arrived in 3.8!
This my first build guide. This build focuses on the chest piece Death's Oath. If this is well received, I might make more for my other characters. I did not make this out of scratch, I was looking to try an occultist in Bestiary and Pohx was playing a DO Occultist in Bestiary that I liked and put my own spin on it.
In Poe 3.7 Cyclone has gotten massive alterations this league as well as each other melee skill within the game. We've got gained enormous AOE improvements alongside sustaining life and also the potential to acquire endurance charges.
Raise Spectre is really a spell that summons a defeated enemy as an allied minion. This Skill can gain the benefits of numerous different types of help gems, but not all of them can be useful depending on the type of Spectres raised. For leveling use Tabula rasa and two lifesprigs with an SRS setup. Praxis is great too.
This Deadeye build balances both "bow" and "summoner" aspects by attacking with Tornado Shot, Clones [from Mirror Arrow], and Sentinels to deal pure physical damage. The majority of utility skills are triggered through Asenath's Chant, while clones are automatically summoned through Maloney's Mechanism.
This build guide was made in standard with GG gear at endgame, but you can definitely do league-based/cheaper iterations and still achieve great damage. This is not a "Path of Building-Warrior" type build. I have been playing Cyclone for almost 5 years in this great game, and I can assure you this is the most satisfying, smoothest, tankiest 2H cyclone build I've ever played.
The build utilizes Chaos Inoculation, which makes you 100% immune to all sources of chaos damage, including poison. However, you'll have 1 HP and therefore need to cover yourself with Energy Shield alone. This is not suggested for new levels, and this guide will cover the transition and workarounds to get yourself to CI.
The changes to Occultist in 3.7 hurt the high amount of Energy Shield we were able to obtain. Those changes bring the build down from over 9k ES to ~7.5k ES. Damage remains about the same or slightly lower with the first pass at the posted PoB which may be tweaked later as the league officially starts.
